H&M Sonia Rykiel

Apparently I missed all this beauty. Sonia Rykiel at modest prices? Are you kidding me!? Maybe there will still be some pickings if I actually go to the H&M store, but that requires driving and money I don't have. Big sad face...

Overall, I really enjoyed the versatile pieces that Rykiel offered. Of course I love all of the yellow. It's my favorite color, afterall! And usually I hate pink (on me), but I don't mind it in the collection. It's youthful, fun, and not too pretty-- you get me?

I want to look good in this summer dress!!! Must continue dieting and exercising...

Why hello there, textured cardigan, cute cuffed shorts, and future bathing suit top! What a wonderful outfit you make!

Again, diet and exercise and I can be super duper adorable when swimming <3

I have a feeling that I would wear this yellow skirt with EVERYTHING, ALL OF THE TIME!!!

If anyone has any more information on this awesomeness, let me know!!!

Join the Youth and Beauty Brigade

So... I'm behind. I know.

Had a rough week. Struggled with some inner demons and got a mean shiner from the fist of Love. Figuratively, of course! No need to dial in any domestic abuse reports...

Alas, all should be back in order!

Went to FIDM in LA for the Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition with my bestie on Friday. It was lovely, minus the ditzy chicks who awed at the Nine costumes, wondering what the shiny stuff was. Seriously?! They're sequins and rhinestones. I also wouldn't be surprised if Ms. Atwood got some Swarovski crystals all up in there, too! Ugh, those girls were so annoying...
Ta da! Shiny stuff! I like it!

Anyway, my favorite display probably has to be Sherlock Holmes. Jenny Beavan did a terrific job and makes me want to peruse through McQueen's Men's Fall 2009 over and over... (RIP McQueen). Lord Blackwood's brown, lace-ish vest was so... so MASCULINE! And it's LACE! And don't get me started on Watson's tailored get-up... The display totally put me in a mood of anxiety for the Television Costume Design Exhibition at the end of the summer. Hellooooo Mad Men suits! (Fingers crossed, of course!)
This was the best I could find for costumes from the Internet. Laaaaaaame. But look closely for that lace vest on Blackwood!

Definitely my favorite Men's collection in recent times. Alexander McQueen F2009MEN

I also enjoyed all the textures and details that The Watchmen display offered. It almost made up for Malin Ackerman's horrendous performance. Almost. I so want Amelia's brown bomber jacket, and A Single Man featured chic 60s silhouettes.
Hmmm... Not bad. Not bad at all... I WANT!

Alright, kids. I'm tired, so my post on Project Runway and my Top 5 Most/Least Favorite Collections from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week will up tomorrow. Plus, Polyvore is being a bitch so there's not a whole lot I can do with the pictures. :/

I hate Valentine's Day, but I love this:

And this:

Needless to say, my day was meh... I threw a last minute Anti-Valentine's Day Potluck that no one attended except for my boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend, two of my brother's friends, and my grandmother. Overall, it was fun, just not what was expected. The highlight? A mystery raffle that I invested FIVE WHOLE DOLLARS into! That's right folks, a total of six prizes worth five dollars all together. I'm a big spender ;)

Now I am just looking forward to spending an awesome night of Mardi Gras with the boy, his friends, hurricanes, and a tasty cake with baby Jesus inside!!

I hope everyone else enjoys the last day of Mardi Gras, too! Eat, drink, and EAT!

Cheers!

Let's start from the very beginning. (It's a very good place to start.)

I have finally succumbed to writing a blog. Especially since I couldn't hold all of my thoughts on NY Fashion Week Fall '10 in my head anymore! And because I don't really have any friends with whom I can discuss fashion, I thought I would pull a Tavi.

I'm exhausted from creating my layout, so I will have to save the fashion commentary for later. Who knew blogging was such a laborious activity?

Until next time, at least enjoy this picture of my cat, Ginger, looking rather dashing in a vintage bow tie.

Cheers.
